(With Required 2-Step Method for Gray Hair Using Henna Pure First)

What You’ll Need:

  • Henna Rich Black powder (Step 2)

  • Warm distilled water or herbal tea

  • Non-metallic bowls and spoons (2)

  • Gloves

  • Application brush

  • Hair clips

  • Balm or oil to protect skin

  • Shower cap or wrap

🌿 STEP 1: Apply Henna Pure (Red Base for Grays)

This first step lays the red/orange base that makes the black bond properly to gray hair.

  1. Mix Henna Pure

    • Combine with warm water (not boiling) until smooth.

    • Let the paste rest for 2–3 hours, covered.

  2. Prep and Apply

    • Start with clean, dry hair.

    • Apply balm along your hairline.

    • Section hair and apply the paste thoroughly—cover all gray areas.

  3. Cover & Process

    • Wrap with a shower cap.

    • Leave in for 2–3 hours.

  4. Rinse & Dry

  1. Mix Henna Rich Black

    • Mix powder with warm water.

    • Let it sit for 15–20 minutes only (indigo does not need a long dye release time).

  2. Apply Immediately

    • Re-section dry hair.

    • Apply the black mix evenly from root to tip, fully saturating strands.

  3. Cover & Process

    • Wrap with a cap or wrap.

    • Leave it on for 2–3 hours for full development.

  4. Rinse & Oxidize

    • Rinse thoroughly with water.

    • Avoid shampoo for 48 hours to allow the color to fully settle into a rich black.
